Nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina, the cottages of Highland Lake provide guests with the perfect mountain vacation retreat.

We have six fabulous cottages at Highland Lake--a Blue Ridge Mountain resort in Flat Rock, North Carolina. Each is newly constructed with central air and each has been painstakingly decorated by Harry Deaton, one of North Carolina's most sought after mountain home decorators.

Cottage Features and Amenities

Your rental of one of our cottages includes a canoe, a grill, access to yoga on the property and a golf course adjacent to Highland Lake property, lots of terrific mountain nature trails (some on Highland Lake property), gourmet dining in Highland Lake's own THE SEASONS restaurant. In addition, you may access our optional pool and tennis membership (additional amenity) fee may apply.

You'll enjoy direct access to amazing hiking, the Highland Lake Resort campus, canoeing on beautiful Highland Lake, Highland Lake Yoga Studio and a golf course right across the road. Use the furnished grill to picnic in your own wooded yard or enjoy Highland Lake's fabulous "Seasons" restaurant--annual winner of Wine Spectator's "Award of Excellence" since 2000.

Flat Rock and Hendersonville offer numerous and diverse area attractions. Among the many reasons people come to this area are to visit the Biltmore Estate, Flat Rock Playhouse, Carl Sandburg Home, Blue Ridge Parkway, Pisgah and Great Smoky National Forests, fine dining & antiques shopping.
